Week 27

Continuing on with my birthday celebration. CynCyn spent the whole week with us. She got to see some friends, visit the boys' offices, spend quality time with the 4T's, go out to brunch, lunch, multiple dinners, day trip around the bay, wine tasting, and binge-watch Ted Lasso. We all enjoyed her visit and miss her already.

It was the best birthday week ever!

Good morning Hubs and Dr. CynCyn.
Time to pack up camp and go home.

Today...

I have a date with Logan. I'm picking him up from preschool so we can have dinner together and a sleep-over. So, I'm getting all the things done before.

The sky is so beautiful today. I had to take a drive to capture this. The hill I go to is in a cemetery, and it's usually not busy, but today, to my surprise, it was. At least three services were happening, and I was moved to tears. It puts things into perspective with all that is going on. A reminder to tell your family and friends that you love them every chance you get.

Today...

We drove out to check out a new kayak launch. It's almost perfect. We don't even have to get wet to get in and out of our kayaks, but we have to transport them from the parking lot to the launch, 1000 feet. We decided we could handle it and hope to get out there next weekend.
We walked around the marshland on a new trail and saw Song Sparrows, Mocking birds, hummingbirds, Say's Phoebes, Northern Harriers, ducks, geese, gulls, vultures, Goldfinches, and very few people.
No wind, water like glass...the weather was perfect.

Today...
is my birthday.
Husband, Jesse, Bri, Logan, and I went to Lake Berryessa.
Got there at 8 am, before all the people.
It was beautiful and so peaceful.
We brought donuts, breakfast burritos, stuff to make lunch, a standup paddleboard, and a kayak.
We all had fun taking turns on the toys and we all got sunburned.
Left for home by 2 pm - it was getting crowded.
I talked to my girls and my sister, we ordered Sushi for dinner and had Apricot Cobbler with vanilla ice cream for dessert.
I got a whole bunch of birthday cards, a Yetti Rambler, and a UE Blast speaker.
We are all spent and ready for a good nights sleep.
I feel so loved and so grateful for my family.
Soooo, tired.
