Week 17

We're already into May?!
I forgot to share in my last post that My Dr. CynCyn is engaged! We couldn't be happier for her and Daniel and we are all looking forward to the big day.
It was recovery week around here. EVERYONE was tired from our camping trip, but the Warriors making it to the second round of the NBA playoffs helped Hubs and me make it through.

One of my Dahlia plants is making a comeback, again.

These rose bushes around the corner from my son's house are amazing.

I've been wanting to get the grandkids in here for a photoshoot.
Paisley has other ideas.

The single wild Sunflower in one of my succulent pots
bloomed while we were gone last week.

It was a rollercoaster morning with someone who got hangry.
Thankfully, he comes out of it and we get these moments.

Messy, blurry, and messy face, but so darn cute!

That look. It's serious business, making burritos.

These two played 'restaurant' after we just left one.
They requested french toast.

Hubs and Son, talking about their future work venture.

Week 15

Mid-April things.

Miss Paisley looking smushy, warm, and adorable,
as usual, after a two-hour nap.

A wild sunflower bud in the cactus plant.

We built a castle. Paisley thinks it's a ride.

This girl loves Shrek.

My first digital abstract painting in Procreate

Sally's roses after a Saturday morning rainshower

Reaching for the sun.

My favorite colors.

Can't open the garage door but it fits in the driveway.
Almost ready for our first camping trip of the season.

Logan playing bus driver on Easter.

Week 12

Week 12 wasn't super busy but the week I'm currently typing this and posting in has been a doozy. All is well, it is what it is, which is LIFE. Week 13 will probably be late too. It IS my blog, that no one is seeing anyway so, no worries. Onward.

Another bike-ride-selfie

African Daisy's springing up everywhere.

Looking up into the new growth canopy of trees.

His crazy fun racetrack.

Buy yourself orchids. This has lasted much longer than cut flowers.

Good morning beautiful!

A Barn Swallow - taken with my iPhone.

Everything is green right now and I love it.
This is my husbands' collection of bird feeders.

Week 9

I am finally getting over the 'rona!
Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming.
Except how do we do that with all that is happening right now? I'm having trouble forming words to describe all of my feelings.
Is it enough to just put one foot in front of the other and keep going? Keep up with our routines, rest, stay informed, find some beauty in each day, and hug your family every chance you get?
I sure hope so because I'm exhausted, and that is all I have at the moment.

Our crabapple bloomed again and now it's snowing white petals.

I am having fun learning a lot and creating on my iPad with "Procreate."
This is my cover image for Facebook.

I love salads for lunch. This one has chunks of leftover pork chop and lots of other goodies.

The view from my iPad. I had to move a video session to the dining room because
Hubs worked from home all week and needed the office.

What's for dinner?
Lemon, garlic, and butter Cod with parmesan polenta and green beans.

More of my neighbors' roses. Yes, it was raining (lightly) when I shot this.

If I have to isolate, then I'm going to bake.
Chocolate chip cookies are my jam.

My favorite thing about going to Lowes.
The garden center always brings me joy.

Mt Diablo looking good from Hwy 4 on a Saturday afternoon.
Thankfully Hubs was driving.

My Lavender is exploding and the bees are happy.

Week 8

I am still suffering from the 'rona.

By suffering, I mean I'm tired, have head and chest congestion, and a low fever, sometimes. It's really not that bad, but it seems to be just hanging on too long. I feel a little better each day and can't wait to go somewhere. Anywhere.

In the meantime, I'll keep taking pictures around the house, sitting out back in the sun, watching movies, reading, learning Procreate on my iPad, and ordering groceries online.

Trying to get over the 'rona

Correction: My Lavender survived the winter and it's blooming!
(I blame the 'rona for calling this Rosemary)

Male Flicker waiting for the suet to be replenished.

Can't tell if this is a female or an immature male Anna's.

Sunshine in the backyard!

More roses blooming next door.

We said goodbye to this beast.
Thank you for eight years of camping and riding.

Week 4

Last week was quiet, yet I still had to remind myself to take photos some days. This week has been a busy one, and why I’m posting this a day late. I gotta just keep shooting. Onward.

Monday afternoon walk in the hills.

This old oak is so big, I can't get it all in the frame.

Journaling is good for my soul.

Red-shafted Flicker posing for me in the backyard.

I spent some time in a large, beautiful succulent garden.

We've been shopping for a new (to us) travel trailer. Found one!

In this case, the grass IS greener on the other side.
