Week 15

Mid-April things.

Miss Paisley looking smushy, warm, and adorable,
as usual, after a two-hour nap.

A wild sunflower bud in the cactus plant.

We built a castle. Paisley thinks it's a ride.

This girl loves Shrek.

My first digital abstract painting in Procreate

Sally's roses after a Saturday morning rainshower

Reaching for the sun.

My favorite colors.

Can't open the garage door but it fits in the driveway.
Almost ready for our first camping trip of the season.

Logan playing bus driver on Easter.

Week 11

“Year by year the complexities of this spinning world grow more bewildering and so each year we need all the more to seek peace and comfort in the joyful simplicities.”

~ Woman’s Home Companion, December 1935

My joyful simplicities this week...

This boy has been extra sweet lately.
He and I read a set of "Science for Babies" board books to his sister and learned a few things.
We learned that scientists use balls to explain many things about mass, flow, gravity, physics,
and ROCKET SCIENCE. We are excited, and now he wants to "fly" rockets when he grows up.
Oh, I believe you will, Grandson, and move mountains too.

Late winter cloudscape. Always look up - especially when there are clouds.

Rite Aid ranunculus.

I see flowers, I stop and shoot.

Catching my morning light 😍

Art therapy!
This is my first attempt at Neurographic art in Procreate on my iPad.

We got some rain on the last day of winter.

One lonely dandelion in the rain.

First day of spring! I took my bike for a spin, and it didn't hurt my arthritic knee.
YES! My usual walks are not an option right now, so this is super exciting.

Today...

Mike and I got to watch Logan and Paisley this afternoon
Just what we needed to calm our nerves and remind us of what is important.
It is the best feeling to spend time with our grandchildren with no other agenda.
Paisley is growing so fast. She is smiling and talking with her whole body.
Logan and I built Lincoln Log cabins and then knocked them down.
As an added bonus we got to see and spend a bit of time with Jesse and Bri too.
I love all my babies so much.
On the way home, it started raining and Mike turned off the wipers just so I could get photos of the drops on the windshield.
OH, and Mike starts work at a new company on Monday.
There are good things all around us in these crazy times.

A morning walk to clear my head.
Raindrops on everything!
Photo ops everywhere.
Visiting the baby ducks that look like teenagers now.
Partly cloudy sky.
The extended tax filing deadline.
Working on a puzzle. A hard puzzle.
Salt and pepper pork chops and a green salad for dinner.
